"Little Miss Wiggly Worm" is about 4-6 yrs old rose nosed pit bull . She was a pound puppy at about 1-2 yrs old. When Chris, her last pet parent found her in LA. He had her 4 yrs when a sudden emergency happened and he had to go too Florida. He called me at the salon and asked if I knew anyone who could take her for a few months. His sister and brother in law were going to take her to the pound. I told him I would take her for a few months. I couldn't see this wonderful sweet dog going to the pound. I really didn't know anything about her history other than knowing her as one of my clients. I went over and picked her up and she was just as happy to see me as if she were at the salon. We got into the car and off we went. 2 months later Chris calls and says he has to stay longer and it looks like it might be a year and if I would find Worm a good home. I told him I would and that he needn't worry about her that my family was taking good care of her. M! y family decided to keep Worm about 2 weeks later. She seemed to get along well with Kara our little pug. She had to have surgery on her right back knee (luxating patella) about 3 months ago and several peculiar growths removed. There were no issues during that time when she was weakest and on drugs. We had several family and friends over to visit with their dogs. (All little dogs) Including my mother, who stayed for about 6 weeks with her pug Rocky. (Kara's dad) There were no issues. Then about 2 weeks ago I went to visit my parents and Worm attacked Kara. After I got home we decided it had been a food/toy issue and that we would just have to be more careful. We had kept them apart for about 4 days and I talked to our trainers at Petsmart about what could have caused this change in her attitude. After listening to everything they told me I was on the right track and to continue with what we were doing. So my husband and I slowly re-introduced them. They were doing great then 3 days later out of nowhere Worm attacked Kara again. So now were back to separating them. Kara is in m! y bed room and Worm is down stairs. This is not fair to either of them. I love Worm but feel she needs to go to a good home where she can be the only dog. When she was with Chris her last pet parent she had always been a single child. She never had to share the attention. I truly think she is a great and wonderful dog and we love her dearly. I have tried to contact Chris her last pet parent but to no avail. My 11 yr old step son loves her and she gets along great with kids.
