Serena, named for her serene and calm nature, was rescued from the county shelter after being in a kennel for a long time. She was scheduled to be euthanized because she was so kennel stressed. Fortunately, her luck had turned as she was rescued at the last moment by The Dog Squad Rescue. Serena's life was spared with only minutes left. It was difficult for anyone to imagine this sweet dog being euthanized as her lengthy notes from volunteers' at the shelter listed sweet and gentle traits; her affection for people and her fantastic nature overall. Not a bad trait was listed. Serena's ears were cruelly cropped by a previous owner to make her look fierce, but she might as well be a character in a Disney movie as she is nothing less than adorable and affectionate. Serena loves people and is also a great companion with other dogs. She is about 3 or 4 years old, housebroken and well behaved. She deserves a loving forever home with a kind hearted family who will dote on her. Anyone would be lucky to be the recipient of her affectionate kisses that she provides in abundance!
