Ozzie
When I'm with my human family I run around in backyard run after thrown toys - I'm still working on the fetch part runs after high powered squirt gun sprays - he like this the best runs around pool when someone is swimming cuddles on bed or chair and watches tv jumps up after toys that are suspended runs after toys that are thrown
I love to play with my Rubber tire Tug rope I mostly play with my toys and a human at the same time. I much prefer humans over any of my toys even if the toys are really cool.
I make my family laugh when I literally fall on the floor when they begin to touch or scratch my head. I'm useless when I'm being touched.
I don't have other dogs living with me, but when dogs come over, I mostly run around the yard chasing each other.
When I'm in an off leash area I like to run with other dogs and interact with the humans. The humans like me a lot. I love playing at the park and usually wear myself out pretty good. In the FETCH game,I'm really good at running after the ball, but I don't really have the "bring the ball back" part down but I'm willing to work on it. I mostly like running with the dogs and meeting the humans.
I was attacked by a mean bull dog about 4 months ago and suffered some chest lacerations so my owner hasn't taken me to the dog park since. I think it would be good to take me to a different dog park for awhile.
I don't live with kids. I've met kids as young as 6 mos (my owner's grandson). Owner didn't let me interact with the baby so it's unknown how I am with babies. I love kids but I'm kind of big and strong so bigger kid friends might be best for me but I really don't know. I haven't been around very many kids at my home.
Haven't been in much contact with other animals but those in my yard. I have chased opossums, birds, cats and rats because I live near a canyon. I prefer they not be there. I definitely do not like cats. Skunks are not my favorite either, they usually win. I think I've learned my lesson with skunks. I would say I'd probably do best if I'm the only pet, except for other dogs of course.
In case youre wondering, I do ask to go out when I gotta go.
People tell me that Im more adoptable if I know things. Here are the commands that Ive already learned - Sit - Stay - Go - Eat - Drink - Go in your crate - Go on your bed - Come here - Shake I also stay in my yard and my house even when the front door is open. (especially in the summer)
My foster family knows me pretty well and they think the perfect family for me would be one that is active and will play with me and exercise me daily. I like to play a lot so young to middle age people would be best. I love people so the more there is in the family, the merrier. I now live with 4 people. I do fine with my family gone during the day, but I sure do like it when they come home.
Geez - I almost forgot to tell you that I love to cuddle and I love kisses. I love to play but I will calm down when told to. I'm a great guard dog - I bark at strangers but stop when my owner tells me to. When people enter our home, I get really excited but I'm good friends with visitors in just a few minutes. I'm very friendly and love affection from anyone. I am very loyal and like to be wherever my family is even if it's just sitting in the same room. I always greet my family when they come home. I love to go places, especially the dog park. I love to run.

Please note that Pit Bull Rescue San Diego does not adopt on a first come first served basis. Generally we have formed an opinion about the sort of home that we want for each of the dogs in our program. This opinon is formed from knowing each dog and observing their interactions in various situations and through periodic evaluations. Our goal is to place our charges in the home that is the best possible for that particular dog. Our only goal is happiness and forever homes for our dogs. A forever home is most likely to happen when we do the best we can to find lifestyles and personalities that match.
We are aware that this is a human process and that you may or may not agree with our decisions. Please understand that we take very seriously the lives placed in our hands for this brief time and our decisions are only made out of protectiveness for the breed and the specific dogs we are placing and not out of any judgment of you or your life.
