Duncan believes that he is a lap dog. He is very eager to please, and loves being petted. He loves tummy rubs. A rousing game of fetch is one of Duncan's joys. As do most pitties, he participates fully in a good game of tug of war. We are working on excitement levels as he tends to jump up on folks. He can be a bit pushy in his play style. We recommend an experienced pit owner as he can be a bit dominent. Being touched everywhere is his joy in life.

Duncan is such a wonderful dog! He is very loyal and loving and is just a HAPPY HAPPY dog, he does great with my two/pits and is gentle and loving with my kids! He is great! Duncan does extremly well around my children! I have a 4yr old and a 1 yr old. However he is very skidish and runs away from everything.

We recommend dogs that are about the same size as he is. Due to his dominant nature, he will do better with submissive play partners. Duncan shouldn't go to an off leash area, he is best kept in his own enviroment where he feels safe!

While he is my kids and dogs best buddy! The cat is a different story, lets just say she runs and he chases!

Duncan loves to play with the water hose!! It is hilarious!! He is totally spoiled loves to cuddle and steals the pillows!!

He has been great with all the kids so far:-) all ages

He is a bully and plays ruff, he is best with any dog I guess he just doesn't do well at first..

I take him jogging on a reg basis and he is great and he does great in the house at night with the other dogs just lays around and sleeps.

He is great!!! He is loveable, maybe too much, very gentle and just a really happy good dog!

Duncan is a sweet, easy going, 8 month old male pit mix, who wants nothing more than to lay at the feet of his mom's, snuggle in their laps or lavish them with kisses. He is house broken and gets along well with other dogs. He is learning to play with toys since being rescued and is working on his leash manners. He has not been exposed to cats in his foster home so his compatibility level with them is unknown.

Please note that Pit Bull Rescue San Diego does not adopt on a first come first served basis. Generally we have formed an opinion about the sort of home that we want for each of the dogs in our program. This opinon is formed from knowing each dog and observing their interactions in various situations and through periodic evaluations. Our goal is to place our charges in the home that is the best possible for that particular dog. Our only goal is happiness and forever homes for our dogs. A forever home is most likely to happen when we do the best we can to find lifestyles and personalities that match.

We are aware that this is a human process and that you may or may not agree with our decisions. Please understand that we take very seriously the lives placed in our hands for this brief time and our decisions are only made out of protectiveness for the breed and the specific dogs we are placing and not out of any judgment of you or your life.
